Wesley’s Birthday
We celebrated Wes’s birthday at home and at Chuck E. Cheese with a few of his new friends from his first couple of weeks at the new school. They all had a blast playing games, even Joss! The party ended with a ticket tornado, where Wesley got to enter and try to grab the tickets flying around. He even tried using his pant leg to catch them.
swimming
The kids are really improving their swimming skills. Wesley is now all over the pool and will even dive into the deep end. Austin is still sticking to the shallow end but is making good progress. Although he’s still somewhat afraid of the water, he is learning and loves it.
Stacey’s Birthday
We celebrated Stacey’s birthday a couple of times this month. Her mom and aunt came down, and we took her out on a boat for the day. We also had cake and ice cream at home on another day. She received perfume and one of those boxes that springs open with butterflies that flap around when you open it.

We spent the day on the lake for Stacey’s birthday surprise. We didn’t tell her where we were going or what we were doing, but she started to piece together the clues in the morning: swimsuit, sunscreen, a cooler, life jackets, a rope, and a tube.
Everyone loved tubing and swimming. We had lunch and explored a small part of the lake before heading back in the afternoon, exhausted.
Joss saxaphone
Joss is playing saxaphone in band at her new school. We received the sax and got her all set up. That thing is loud.
Joss was bored, so I gave her a drum machine to play around with. I took a covert picture of her through the door crack and then went in to hear her jam track. She had fun making a drum beat like the ones I put in the videos.
